THE SLOW COMMUNICATION REVOLUTION

Tired of Twitter, txtspeak and emojis?

A mashup of creative writing, mystery, parlour games and low commitment pen pals.

Creative Writing via the lost art of letter writing.

Pick up a pen and let the ink flow.

"In an age like ours, which is not given to letter-writing, we forget what an important part it used to play in people's lives" - Anatole Broyard

It is now standard to express ourselves through the immediacy of emojis, GIFs, and lols. Communicating in sentences, phone calls and letters is becoming a thing of the past.

We ask, what might be lost because of this? Dead Letter Club is our answer.

“Dead Letter Club was one of the most genuinely creative, powerful and beautiful experiences I've ever taken part in.” Gemma Jones, Craft Victoria

Sending a letter is the next best thing to showing up at someone’s door. Ink from your pen touches the stationery, your fingers touch the paper, your spit seals the envelope. Thoughts revealed through the flourishes and flow of the pen, the texture and lingering scent on the paper.

These evenings are in dedication to the written word through creative letter writing.

NEVER FEAR! We have hundreds of prompt cards for those awkward moments of writers block!

What better way to write then with the aid of locally made wine. Join us at Melbourne's only people powered urban winery, NOSIY RITUAL for wines and written words.
